Municipal elections day in Chicago. “Vote early, and often” is the tongue-in-cheek motto of Chicago politics (this reference will make sense in a minute!). After voting, I hopped the train downtown to meet with WGN’s Jennifer Zanotti, the warm and gracious host of the podcast “Getting Zen with Jen Z,” to be interviewed about all things Death Midwife. We covered death and dying, grief, death midwifery, funeral options, end-of-life planning, and so much more. You can listen in here. And please feel free to comment and share!

So, the election reference: During the interview, I stressed the importance of having end-of-life conversations “early and often” with your loved ones. “Elect” to start those conversations “early” while everyone is healthy, and have them “often.” Everybody wins!
